In the SIA door supervision course, four modules are included. The first one is a core learning module which gives basic knowledge needed in the security field.
There is a door supervisor specialty module only specific to door related security and will teach an individual as what they need to perform that task.
The Conflict Management Module teaches how to defuse a situation that could turn violent. This helps door supervisors in preventing injury to themselves and others.
Finally comes the physical intervention part of training, which teaches how to handle situations when it turns physical.

It allow the licence holder to work both as a security officer in retail or hotels for example, and also in bars, nightclubs and casinos, therefore increasing your options when it comes to employment.The S.I.A are responsible for the licencing of all security personnel in the U.K and it is a serious offence to work without a licence.
